I asked about the cost of cervesa..she replied, "I have no idea, all I know is we both drank all nite, and the bill was only 300 pesos! Alot cheaper than here"...course, keep in mind that I called her at the local Hot Wings restaurant, she was at a wine tasting..lol..and wasn't feeling any pain..kinda like our entire trip to Copal.. :D
I am pretty sure Corona was $1 to $1.50US, and lots of places have 2/1 happy hours.

Cool, thanks Gale.
$1 is amazingly cheap! :)
Speaking of... when exchanging for pesos, which denominations are best to get? (and what do they come in, 10's, 20's, etc?)

We exchanged dollars to pesos at the bank in Tulum, but there is a money exchange on the hotel road down by Zamas and the internet cafe as well..(about 1/2 mile walk from Copal, not far at all) that would be convenient if you don't want to go to town.
If you go to the bank, they have particular hours for exchange..I think it was 11am to 1pm, might have started at 10am, cant remember for sure. They have a sign on the door to tell you, or they did when we were there last. Plan on being there for a little while..time moves slowly in Mexico even at the bank...lol! It took us about 45 minutes.
We exchanged about $200US at a time, $20 and $10 Peso notes is what we opted for..larger bills might be hard to change at some places.

We exchanged about $200 US at the booth by Zamas. He gave us mostly small bills without us asking for it, that was cool.
