Gale...are you wanting to delete a Reply to someone else's thread or an entire thread? If you're wanting to just delete a reply, you can hit the Edit key and select the option to Delete. It will then ask you to confirm your request and, once you have done so, will delete the reply. I'm not sure if you can eliminate an entire thread without Moderator help. Okay...give me a minute to compose myself...moderator help...what was I thinking?

:D :D :D :D
Exactly..my fingers went crazy with the enter button this morning and I posted duplicate threads..we don't need them both..wanted to dump one..but alas..no delete function. I guess it was a post I have deleted before..not a thread...and I guess we are stuck with duplicate threads for the duration.

One could PM the moderator & have them remove it - http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/im/tic.gif

...moderator help...what was I thinking?you're going to have to trust me that my time is best spent on my current activities... that it is for the greater good of this forum and the one on Playa.Info, where this forum will end up being absorbed into it's own Tulum section.
I can always be contacted on that site very easily for any need, thanks!

James...I was actually referring to Ginger, who hasn't even signed onto this board in four months. As for your behind-the-scenes consolidation efforts, is this something the tulum.info board members have asked for?
Sorry...just the marketing-oriented side of me that believes you ask your customers what they want then offer it rather than selling what you think they should buy. :)

Ah, right. Well, my efforts aren't on consolidation right now... that's quick and easy, mostly. I'm working on something much bigger right now, into which this will fit nicely.
And we agree on the principles of Intro to Marketing 101. What makes you think I didn't listen to my focus groups?

I'm looking forward to whatever that might be. I orginally learned about this board through playa.info several years ago when we were planning our first trip and what an amazing resource it was that couldn't be found anywhere else. I visited this tulum.info board back then when it was extremely small and quiet. I still visit playa.info. Tulum.info is not much bigger now but I've found wonderful resources here for our travels this fall will take us not only to PDC for a few days but further south all the way to the border of Belize. James, I know that you realize that when people are looking for information on Akumal and south, it is hard to find on the larger forum. I would love to see this develop into more. I know there are some Playa peeps who are big fans of all of the locales south of PDC.

you bet. instead of developing individual websites (the old plan) for akumal.info, tulum.info, majahual.info, etc. it is all getting folded into playa.info. Playa means beach, after all. Forum categories will be greatly expanded, the new directory (that is all-inclusive... if something from the directory is missing, you can add it!) and each place will also have a marker on a map so you can browse and search geographically. The 'static content' on Playa.info will be folded into a wiki style system so that it can be kept up-to-date by our users.

Sounds really great!! Just curious James, do you have a time frame for this to happen?? month, year,?

new directory comes online in 3 weeks (around July 1st). Then the wiki after that. Folding tulum.info into playa.info should follow the wiki. End of July, more or less.

...James, I know that you realize that when people are looking for information on Akumal and south, it is hard to find on the larger forum.People find it difficult, yes. It is, however, easy to find with the search function. Of course, making it even easier is beneficial to everyone. ;)
