Any recommendations for auto rental?

Bus/Collectivo Cancun to Tulum?

Is it possible to get a taxi from Tulum to Boca Paila/Punta Allen? Any idea of the cost?

I am trying to determine the most economical and conveinent way to get from Cancun to Punta Allen..any help would be so much appreciated.

Have rented a car before Cancun to Tulum, but, would like to save the cost this time around, unless it is too difficult to get there otherwise.

Hey Barb, does Easyway place a hold on your Credit Card for the deductible?
we used Buster's in Jan., and they didn't..simply took a signed voucher and held it until we returned..then gave it back to me..never actually placed a hold on my credit card..since I was using my card at ATM's for cash, a hold would have put a real damper on my vacation spending..lol!

We have rented a car the last two years from Alamo, right near the airport in Cancun. We have had no problems at all with them, (we do make it obvious that we are taking digital pictures of the car while it's being checked for scratches). We rented a Chevy Monza-small, 4 passengers, auto w/ A/C for about $210 for a week.
We love having the car to go to differant beaches, cenotes and restaurants, and really wouldn't go withour a car as we love the mobility and flexibility.
They don't make us pay for anything extra except the required insurance-which I think is $5 a day ans was included in the total above.:D

Try travelocity I have never gotten a better rate than their lowest offer, they compare prices of car rental agencies and you select the best.
