Okay...does anyone else find it scary that minniemex knows where we are at all times? http://www.33smiley.com/smiley5/emotions/2.gif

Yes we got home last night..I'm going to post some more later trouble is my dumb spacebar is broken (I have to kind of pound it) so it makes it a little tedious to write (especially all the stuff I want to put in my report)

Hey Minniemex? Like this weather I brought back w/me? (just so you all know it's 40 degrees here in MN; a vrtual heatwave..)

The ONE thing I do want to say before I post my trip report (for those that
are leaving soon) is bring some warm clothes! During the day we had pretty great weather (1 fully cloudy day and one half cloudy day for 2 out of 8 days no rain) but at night the last few nights it was cold (and we live in minnesota remember) I saw more than one person w/a blanket on their lap eating outside at night and I did not bring enough long pants or long sleeves. I saw a couple people w/sweaters and I was so jealous! This was a pretty major packing error so I wanted to help others avoid it..Not sure we could have avoided it because I guess it was kind of a freak thing. I talked to a couple locals who said it was "muy, muy frio" for Tulum. Anyway, more
later when I get a laptop that works better. I have some great (I think) somewhat off the beaten path food recommendations that I can't wait to tell
you all about..As well as some impressions of the places you already know about..

I'm champing at the bit (yes, that is the correct way to say that expression http://www.33smiley.com/smiley2/animals/barnyard/7.gif) about the off the beaten path places!! I just might have to schedule a return trip for my 45th birthday in June! http://www.33smiley.com/smiley2/emotions/happy/21.gif

I may need some help w/ the photo posting thing when I get around to it :o (I'm also a complete smiley amateur by the way)

(Of course) I'm also getting a little slammed workwise right now (better now than before I guess; we freelance..) so be patient w/me. Just know that even if you're not seeing my TR yet, I'm formulating it in my head.

Just remember - DON'T type it into here first -

#1 You can only post 4 pictures per post -
#2 You only have a limited # of characters you can post per post
#3 You time out & lose everything you wrote

Off site then copy!

No pressure on the report - tonight is O.K. http://www.smileyarena.net/Library/packs/aquality/default/wink.gif (http://www.smileyarena.net/download.aspx?id=11450) (just kidding) http://www.smileyarena.net/Library/extra_large/school/default/writing.gif (http://www.smileyarena.net/download.aspx?id=12453)

Welcome home, can't wait to hear/read more! I leave on Monday, so no pressure on your TR timing. :D (amateur smilie person here too)

Thanks for the reminder about warmer clothes. I was caught in Mex. once in a cold snap with very few warm clothes and it was a drag. I'll be sure to bring one or two more things.

My bag is going to weigh a ton with even a minimal amount of clothing. I'm bringing about 20 lbs. of reading matter and another 20 lbs. of books & stuff for the local kids. Not much room for clothes, but what the heck!

Mariposa,

Are you responsible for dropping off this 80 degree weather in TX on your way North too? Thanks for that.

Can't wait to read your report.

Welcome back! Don't be afraid to post pictures. It was easier than I thought if you use photobucket.com. :)

promise to post TR highlights for Beachreader before monday..I've been trying to figure out the photo thing..I'd like to post the actual image here rather than a link. I'm working on it. Any tips? Is it a matter of resizing?
Keeps telling me invalid file..i'm on a mac does that have anything to do w/it?

From photobucket, highlight and copy the URL of the picture you want to add. Find the insert image button on the reply to thread. Delete the "http:" and add your copied URL (don't know if it works different with a Mac, though).

Good luck!
