Anyone else plan their trips around tax refund time? I know, you should really schedule your stuff so you break even at tax time (why give the government a free loan?), but I like having that chunk of money coming to me just in time for vacation. It's not enough to cover the whole thing, but it's enough to help a lot! :D

Oh, right, I forgot you folks with your own businesses might not have that freedom! There definitely are advantages to working for someone else's company sometimes. :)

This is the first year in a very long time I see a small refund..and yeah, it's going to Mexico with me!!!
I usually feel the need to get away after April 15th..after auditing financials till my eyeballs fall out, reworking the GL till my fingers bleed...I need an escape! And we won't even discuss all those people who ask me to do their taxes..

yea, tax time and bonus time (from work), although tax time isn't what it once was, my deductions, er, DEPENDENTS, keep getting older and moving out, so not much is being refunded these days!

We haven't had a refund in years as well.
My wife works for the IRS and our upcoming anniversary in March is a perfect break from the madness.

Hey, SOB, where's your signature picture from ? Looks cool, but these old eyes can't see it very well. Looks like a ferry coming in, or is that your yacht? :D

Try horses, goats, dogs, pigs, ducks, cats, and chickens. My back is still sore from hauling all those 50 lb grain bags and 80 lb hay bales into the feed room!

That's from a cruise my wife and I took that stopped by Labadee, Haiti.
A little island that I believe Royal Caribbean owns. That's the ship we were on in the background.
I don't have any really cool pics of us in paradise but that will change soon enough in Tulum.

Sooon. Sounds so good to me. Inside two weeks now for me. It rained most of our trip to Playa in December, so I'm due for some serious sunshine!
