Hi everyone-

Just joined after lurking for a few days. We'll be Tulum newbies on March 5th, but after spending time on this forum, I feel I have barely a question left to ask. Just a few, but I will post those elsewhere.

So, that's it - just HI from Minnesota, and I hope some of you TIers are around when we get down there. I feel like I've met you all already!

Salud!

Hola! Love your name!
Hubby says that frequently: "If mamma aint happy..."

We're in Plymouth - not too far, eh? And that's right. Ain't NOBODY happy! Hahaha.;) So it helps when we get out of the cold and into the flippy-flops. Then we ALL win!

Nope, not far at all. I have two daughters and my grandson live in Plymouth.
Well, you have a great time in Tulum. This weather now makes it feel even better to go! Where are you staying?

We'll have a great time, I'm sure of that. We'll be at Coco Tulum. Easy-peasy, nice and breezy. Where have you stayed? Any suggestions for a first-timer?

I would read beachreaders new trip report to get lots of ideas.
I have only stayed twice in Tulum. Posada Luna del Sur and last month at Nueva Vida de Ramiro. So, I'm kinda a newbie to Tulum also. Although not to the area and we own land there. We just seem to stay more in PDC and Akumal. We will be in Tulum 2 weeks this April. So I'm probably not much help. What I love about Tulum is there is always live music to be found. Zamas on the beach road has music, Charlies in the Pueblo has something going on there during high season. La Zebra has salsa on Sunday nights.Margo use to put a list out, but we son't see her on here much anymore.
I like Don Cafetos in the Pueblo right on the main street and also La Nave for pizza and Italian and someone mentioned their whole fish was good.
We went to Mateo's for the first time on the beach road for lunch. It gets mixed reviews. I guess it can be crowded. It was not when we were there. I liked it.
