I'm really not a boardhoor :o , but I have been posting to several different boards in advance of this upcoming trip. I have promised, on each board, to write a trip report upon my return (and to include pictures this time).
Can I just write a report in Word and post it on each site, or does each site's formatting require different methods? I was thinking I already know how to put pictures in a Word doc and that might save a lot of hassle and duplicating of trip-report writing effort.
But would they post?
How do y'all handle it? Or do you only do reports for this board?

If you are posting the same report to several boards, I would do the report in Word, then cut and paste the text when doing your trip report on a particular forum. As for the pictures, you will have to enter the images seperately, each board I belong to seems to have it's own special method for posting images.
When I did mine, I added the image links to the report, then just copied them as I added them to the report text after it was pasted when posting the report. That made the image links easily accessible for adding to a report, one forum at a time.
I need easy..lol!

I know I had to break mine into 4 parts for here, I did four separate posts, instead of just replying to my original thread, if you follow me - I know you can only have 4 pictures per post, so you have to keep replying to your post, as Lee did in his - I also know you time out for a post, so typing it & copying it works the best, I had to redo all mine - there is a limit also for # of key strikes -

Thanks, guys. I guess I'll just do the text in Word and I'll ask more detailed questions about pics when I get back and am ready to actually post things. I wish posting pics were easier, but maybe they're trying to prevent spammers from posting icky things and ads in?

posting pics on Tulum.info is easy..as long as you remember to delete the http:// that comes up in the que box..as you usually get that in the web addy of the pic that you are posting when you copy the address..:p that was what threw me for so long..I would copy the web addy of the pic and then insert it in the que box..but that extra http:// made the address wrong..sigh..I would love to be more web publishing savvy! Even FrontPage gives me fits.

Surely, you're not suggesting 'ads' are unwanted things are you? :p

:o Oops, sorry. How would we know anything if it weren't for ads? They're educational and informative and guide my life's decisions on a daily basis.
How's that?
