Those purples that you got in your photos are amazing..Are they sunrise or sunset? (I'm guessing sunrise..) Leaving monday..haven't packed yet but
I have alot of lists..I'll try to get some too, actually husband's a better photog than me. We'll try to measure up!

OK, that didn't work. I am stumped on how to post a picture. I have them loaded on my computer and also uploaded to Shutterfly. In Shutterfly, however, I didn't see a place to capture the URL of a specific image. So I tried copying and pasting from my own files.

Scratching my head here. I did a search, but didn't see any specific instructions for how to post a picture. Can someone please direct me?

The pictures have to on the web to be used on the forum, can't link to them in your own picture file.
Try this: Pull up the pick you want to post in Shutterfly. Put your curser on the pic and right click. It should pull up a que box...at the bottom your will see "properties"..click on that. That should show you the web addy of the picture. Highlight it and copy.

Then come back to Tulum.info to post the picture. Click on the little box up top here that looks like mountains in a square. Looks like this:http://tulum.info/images/editor/insertimage.gif

That will pull up a cue box. Click on the http:// in the box and delete it. Then put your curser on the text line in the box and paste the web addy you saved from your photo there.

Like you I did not see anything on Shutterfly that had an address for the photo. What did you do that made it work? I am on a Mac--does that make a difference?

I too had a problem & the problem was when I set up my account, I did not check that I wanted the url addresses to appear - as soon as I corrected that I have been able to post pictures - http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_1_117.gif

I just did what Gale said and right-clicked on the image I wanted and went to Properties. The address is in there. Just copied it and pasted it in the picture thing here but first deleted the existing http://.

Minnie, I didn't know that I could ask for URLs to show in my profile at Shutterfly. Maybe I'll go fix that, but it was easy enough to do it this way. The size that posted was the way it came. Which is nice, that's a good size, but I think I could get it bigger if I was looking at a larger size in Shutterfly. This was the same size as it was showing in my slide show.

It'll take some work when doing a trip report, especially if we're limited to 4 images per post including smilies, but I'm sure it won't take too long. Hmmm, maybe when I'm typing it up in Word, I'll go ahead and post the URLs in my text. Then, when it's time to paste it here, I can just copy the URLs into the Insert Image thing while I'm looking at them without having to go back and forth to S'fly while posting. Wonder if that would work?

Follow Gale's directions - click on the box at the top that looks like a stamp with a mountain on it - delete the http that is already there, & then copy your url to that & hit the button - should work - oh , by the way, your link to photobucket did not work for me -:confused:

Hey Beachreader, we will be staying at the Maya Tankah, (last known as Freedom Paradise) arriving on March 1st, thru March 8th. I'm not sure where that is in relation to where u will be, all I know is it's on Tankah Bay. Maybe we can pick a day and meet in Tulum?:confused:

Lianne, I'll be at Posada Lamar from 2/26-3/3, but I might end up staying in the area for a few more days. Lamar is right next to Playa Kin-Ha and Posada Margherita, so if you'd like to come down for a drink or the afternon, you'll find me there. I'll be reading and sunning just about every day right in front of Lamar.

Have a great trip to Maya Tankah; don't know how far away that is, but maybe you can run away and check out some of the beach places in Tulum.
