I just saw a real estate ad for the property across the road from Copal/Azulik, or thereabouts, it is suggested that it is just perfect for a golf course/country club! No, tell me it isn't so..

Course the price is hefty, but, it comes with all permits already in place.

I am still trying to convince my hubby to do a return trip to Tulum with me (he has never been there, when he dropped me at the airport last trip,he kept shaking his head like I was nuts or something for wanting to go anywhere without electricity or phones..kept saying, "Are you sure you want to do this???")....His idea of the dream vacation is to the wilds of Canada, fishing for a week in the wilderness..he is dragging me there in Sept., kicking and screaming..lol..but, hey, trade off, right? If I can suffer for you, you can suffer for me....so, to that end, I am thinking...cuzan's..or maybe Dan's, the new place, and give him a day of fishing, I could handle that, I think..lol!

Tulum is changing so quickly, and those of us who crave the solitude and seclusion are gonna have to brave the "bad road" to Punta Allen, or head to Xcalak..but, even there, I hear they are planning an amusement park somewhere close to the Marine Base...is no place sacred???

Mahahaul looks good to me.

Hey folks the reason my name here is "just passing thru" because when I'm in PDC or Tulum, I'm on my way to Mahahual! I love Tulum and I had wanted to buy a little beachfront of my own there but it just got too pricey and complicated to get Tulum beachfront.

Do check out Mahahual, it's like Tulum maybe 15 or 20 years ago. The coast north of Mahahual, really the whole Costa Maya as it is known, is beautiful, tranquil and still quite affordable too.

Most of the Costa Maya has a well established reef system which makes for wonderful the diving and snorkeling good too. The coast here is a bit of the old Caribbean that escaped the passage of time- wild and wooley, remote and pristine. Come visit.

I did buy some land right on the beach north of Mahahual in the little community of Rio Indio. In fact I bought two lots and one of them is now for sale. If you want to see some pics of the coast (and my lot) see my website: http://www.costamayarealestate.info

I suppose this is not quite kosher posting this here, but it would be real nice to have some Tulum folks for neighbors...
