I didn't take but one or two pictures while in Tulum. Just didn't feel like doing much of anything there. That's what's so cool about Tulum. Here is one of my wife as we were about to go off to dinner, it was taken outside our cabana at Cabanas Copal.

Gale Good Effort!!! When I clicked on the link, I went to the photo of the cabana.
If you are using a PC and do a right click and the select "open image in new window" and then go to that window and copy the URL and paste it after you click the image icon in your message box, the photo will appear in the body of your message, I believe.
Good photo in any event, and keep on trying!!

You know, that is what I thought I did, but, I will give it another shot sometime today. After working on my computer all day at the job, by evening, I am bleary eyed and maybe skipped a step or something..spent most of yesterday editing formulas in Excel, that is enough to make anyone wish for Tulum.

Here is a clue. The URL that you past into the image dialog box should end with .jpg or .gif or . whatever the image format is. If it ends in .htm or .html, it is not just the photo.
good luck

That is just so beautiful. Thanks.
Looks like, based on this morning's discussion and spreadsheeting that we may be able to retire down there (there being somewhere in Mexico) in 2009 - when I am 57 and Kathy is 53.
It is a goal.

roni...I'd be all for retiring to Mexico. Do you have any advice...short of winning the lottery...on how one might achieve that? Any pointers you might be able to offer would be GREATLY appreciated.

[IMG]can anyone explain how to load pictures?
Well, since noone else has answered, I'll give it a go. This is the way that I figured out how to do it. I'm not saying that this is the right way.
First, upload the pictures onto the multimedia section of PlayaInfo.com. Then pick the picture you want to post, from the PlayaInfo site, and click on it. Once it is on the screen, right click on the picture and choose "properties." You will see the Address or URL. Highlight the URL and click Copy. Then come back here and press the "Insert Image" at the top of the message box. Paste the link in the box and you are ready to go.
Let's see if it works>>>>>>>>>

Good going Dale!!
It may depend on what platform and what browser you are using. On a Mac, using Safari, the method is a bit different, but the bottom line is that you have to get the photo - and nothing but the photo's URL. It will end with .jpg or .gif or .tif or .bmp or one of those graphic file extensions. Once you get the URL, highlight, copy it and use the graphic dealie just above the reply box - the little icon with the mountain in it.
So, get some photos up already ;)

The Photo Gallery at playdelcarmeninfo changed a little while ago. The links changed as well. Anyone that had links on this thread pointing to playdelcarmeninfo that no longer work, need to fix them.

Great looking pictures jx2. I can almost hear the surf and feel the sun.
We've (Mrs. Dan and I) been to Cozumel (our wedding and 5th anniv. this year), Isla, and Playa. Next year we'll finally hit Tulum, and judging by your pics "next year" can't get here soon enough.
It always feels strange putting the first post up on a board and seeing that "1 posts" after your name, but I suppose it's gotta start somewhere :)
Hello to all. See you around.
