I never was one for doing things in the correct order. About a month ago I spent a week in Tulum with some family and had an amazing time. Before going, I did my usual ridiculous amount of pre-trip planning and investigating here and on TripAdvisor. Just wanted to say a quick thank you for helping me become somewhat "in the know" before even getting to Tulum. My family and I stayed at Casa Tranquillo and it was perfect for us. We ate, we drank, we swam and then we drank some more...with a bit of adventure thrown into the mix. My whole family are pretty seasoned travelers and all of us absolutely loved Tulum. I hope to return someday soon. Ideally before the golf course and proposed airport change the vibe of the whole place. Anyway, Hello and thank you.

Fantastic, Matt. How did you like Casa Tranquillo? Was everybody comfortable? We usually stay next door at La Luna, but I've always to sneek a peek into Tranquillo.

Casa Tranquillo was perfect for our group. We were very comfortable without ever being afraid that we would wreck anything, if you know what I mean. It was very spacious and the seven of us never felt cramped at all. The bar/kitchen was a great common area as was the rooftop deck for sunsets. And then there was the front yard!!!! I guess you could say that the house is in need of some minor upgrades, but no one in our group ever complained. We're easy. From what I can tell, there aren't many choices for a larger group like ours on the beach. It's a no-frills kind of place but I wouldn't call it shabby either. It's all about the location anyway, isn't it?
