Hello everyone! We are planning our honeymoon in Tulum June 27 to July 4 (8 days/ 7 nights). I saw a lot of mention of this site on the Trip Advisor boards and figured I'd join.

We're staying at Azulik for the first two nights of our honeymoon, and are trying to decide on a beach cabana further south on the beach in the $150/night range for the remaining 5 days. We'll have a rental car.

There are so many options, it can be a bit overwhelming. We want a gorgeous beach (hard to miss in Tulum though!), and a beach/oceanfront cabana with a fan to beat the heat. Also a screen or something similar over the windows to prevent the mosquitoes from getting in. We want to feel a little secluded, but have resturants/other hotels nearby to sample food and drinks. Also, we would prefer a stand alone cabana, but it's not a deal breaker by any means.

So far, I think we've narrowed it down to 4 options:

1. Cabanas La Luna (Christopher Columbus or Robsinson Crusoe)
2. Cabanas Tulum (only b/c they have A/C, which is shocking at that price)
3. Tita Tulum
4. Nueva Vida (oceanfront room, like Alma del Mar)

We're also sort of looking at Playa Mambo (green or orange room), Luv Tulum and Casa Violetta, which all have a few rooms in our price range.

It's so hard to decide, there are so many places that look great... we'd definitely welcome any suggestions!

Thank you! It's pretty overwhelming with all of the choices out there. i might bother you all with some more specific questions once we narrow it down a bit more.

@delgadeaux- la ola looks wonderful! if we stay at NVR we were thinking of Alma del Mar or one of the other oceanfront bungalows. maybe we'll see you there!
