Hi there, from Chicago, well the south suburbs, at least.
I am glad to have joined tuluminfo.
My name is Kim and my sweetie is Dave.;) We have visited Playa Del Carmen twice now and both times made tulum ruins a visit. :sun:It looks to be a great place and we are thinking of staying for a day or 2 before heading off to our next vacation in PDC, which cannot come soon enough!!:palmtree:

Well i was actually thinking after the hubabaloo of PDC maybe the last 2nights should be Tulum instead of the first two......:sun:
Although we love PDC i would really like the real relaxing part of vacation to be at the end. It takes me a good 2 days to relax anyway. Working full time mom of 4 from 9 to 19.
Thanks for the welcome!!!:D

:wave:Welcome to the adiction of TULUM! Most people once they come, the keep coming back!
I sure recommend at LEAST 2 nights, you really need to wake up and go to sleep in the same place to get any sense of the place.
When are you planning your next visit? you'll find lots of great info to plan with here on Tulum.info!

I agree with Margo, definitely at least two nights so you have at least one day where you're not needing to go anywhere. I also agree with Chuck--you will definitely wish you'd spent the whole time in Tulum!

Welcome to TI. We're in the far NW burbs. We like to split our time too, and have found that by the time you check in during the afternoon, and have to leave in the late AM, you don't really have time to experience anything. I agree that two night's minimum is needed....you'll be glad you have a full day, sandwiched between travel days.

Oh, and speaking of minimums, most places have a 3-night minimum in high season, though that's often negotiable if your dates fit between other bookings.
Just something to consider.
