We have stayed at Hamaca Loca and Hechizo De Luna and Suenos and have had a cooler outside our room with no problems. Also stayed at La Conchita, but i can't remember if we had a cooler there or not, it was a few years ago that we stayed there. OH! and XD..we had one, until the ice ran out. (day 1) ..But you can buy beer from them so it was no big deal.

Cabanas Tulum had no problem with it, but that was pre-Ziggy Beach. So it may have changed.

La Luna has coolers, don't they?

Yes, La Luna actually loans you plastic coolers. I think only Copal/Zahra/Azulik have stated anti-cooler policies, though as we've stated before, it's really best to not keep food inside your cabana as insects (and larger critters) WILL find what you bring, and they won't leave when it's gone. So if you have a cooler, also bring ziplock bags and pack all snacks in the bags and keep them in the coolers, outside your room. You might need to put a rock or something on the lid, too.

We had coolers at La Conchita and La Luna - no problems.

When we were at Azulik we kept a small cooler in the room - the soft kind that looks the same as a camera bag- and we didn't get caught by the cooler gestapo. (I don't know if anyone has actually been called out for having a cooler or not, but I didn't want to push it).

I don't see how you can be on vacation in a cabanna without some snacks and drinks. Besides, at Azulik they allow their own food there, so I think it is a stupid rule. So I figure just be discreet and keep it sealed up to keep the critters out.

Suenos and Nueva Vida, both outside on the balcony/porch.
