P.S. My house or I should say townhouse is finished and we are furnishing it ...how fun....but they are still finishing the pool and other buildings. If anyone wants a great deal on renting it while construction continues...let me know. We have made great contacts in Tulum over the years, so we have lots of resources! The house is in walking distance of the town!! Mayans have built the entire project by hand...pretty amazing!!! I found out that all the big hotels are trying to get in to building in Tulum but they are not allowed to. Of course bribes seem to be the way of the land, hopefully they wont spoil paradise. The hotel on the corner of the beach road was built illegally and they are pretty upset about it!! Tulum is promising not to make the mistakes that Playa did...but.....who knows. They are re-routing the highway around the town, but all airport rumors are true, they are building it in 2007 International airport..o well
