I keep reading a lot about Zazil Kin, but El Mirador is never mentioned. What do you guys think of El Mirador? We'll be staying there for 4 nights in mid Jan., so we'll find out soon enough, but it would be fun to hear about it now.

We've never stayed there, but it looks like an ok place. It looked to be a bit more rustic than Zazil Kin. We had always planned on going there if there weren't a cabana available at Zazil, but we always got one. They are just up the beach. You'll have to take some pics and put up trip report regarding the place when you get back.

Yes, I will make a report when I get back. I will also try to post some pics. It sounds cool to make a trip report to share information rather than just show off where I have been.

First I will be staying at a place call Cabanas Luna in Tulum for a week with a bunch of my family. According to Bill in Tulsa's map of Tulum it is right in between Los Arrecifes and Cabanas Ana y Jose. http://www.findrentals.com/17098.html
If you click on one of the pictures on the site, a slide show will start. We have reserved both units, so we'll be the only ones on the property. I'm open for whatever that place may turn out to be, but the pictures look pretty nice. We reserved the property way back in August, and we have a car reserved for those seven days as well. I'll post pictures of the place. I didn't even think of asking anybody here for a description of Luna. I figured that probably nobody knows about it. If anybody does know of Luna, please do tell.

After the first week, part of my family will fly back home, and then my sister, my 6 year old son and I will go to El Mirador for four days.

After that, we are going to Isla Holbox to stay at Mawimbi for four days. http://www.mawimbi.net/english.htm

Then we go to Cancun to stay at Tucancun for two nights before we fly back home.

I'm a full time student, and I'm really looking forward to the break.

I tried to add pictures from Luna's website, but they were too big.
