An assignment, if you choose to accept it:D
Put a name to all the unknown places that Minnie has shown us in her trip pictures..I recognized a few of them, but not others..many of these are quite intriguing and we need more info!!!
I recognized Jade Tulum, Coqui Coqui (Pablo Escobar's old hideout) Los Lirios and I think one was Dos Ceibas..
Anybody know what the others are?

Gale - I have identified the ones I could tell from the beach - it was exactly my thoughts to have others identify those that I do not know - I have the pictures in order from Zama's down to the south Amansala's - I can only upload the pictures at home, have finally discovered a quicker way of doing it.
My last idea is to list all the names so that they come up in a search & send them to the pictures - this way they can see the beach of the property they are looking at!? The only other thing I have to find out is how long these pictures stay uploaded at the photobucket site -
Heres the link again - just give me the picture # & I will edit name -

Maybe should PM corrections, might be easier to do it than check this thread -

Maybe this map will help identify some of these places?

the pic you labeled "Kin Ha, I think"..I believe that is Posada Lamar
The place next to Retiro Maya, I think is Kiwi Beach..but not sure
and the one you labeled "Camping???" is Camping Oasis..based on a trip report I recently saw, it looks to be the same place from description and pics in the report.
Coqui Coqui is the rock fronted place..I will have to look at the pics again to tell you what you titled it..it is the third place down from Shambala Petit.
I'll keep working on it..a few of these places look so similar..and a few, I never saw before..

This one is Coqui Coqui...rich and notorious history behind this place..the druglord Pablo Escobar used this place for his hideout and getaway spot up until he was taken out of action in the 1980's..hard telling what kind of goodies were once buried under the sand around this place..lol...it fell into disrepair and just sat there abandoned until Amansala restored it and turned it into the upscale lodging and spa that it is now..kinda stark and minimalist for me, and way overpriced..but the history behind it is very interesting. Can't you just see it in it's heyday with his bodyguards and goons with AK-47's around while he and his friends enjoyed the beach?:D

We just called this one the "castle" - I think they are still making repairs from Wilma - just the sort of sense I got looking at it - I have not got alot of work done today, so will fix these tonight - thanks!!

Ok, just scratch everything I said about Coqui-Coqui...I was confusing this place with Casa Magna, further south. Casa Magna is Escobar's digs..Coqui is just an overpriced spa place..they had the same sort of land claim troubles awhile ago that Suenos is having..and were padlocked for a time, but have since reopened.
Here's a pic of Casa Magna

The rich history belongs to Casa Magna, not Coqui Coqui

Good, cause I really did poorly on the southern end - most don't have names on the beach - not a good thing really, cause thats where most people see them from - but I think I have the beach covered from Maya Tulum south to Amansala Bikini Camp!
