Punta Allen/places to stay

We are heading to Playa for 10 days, staying at Mezzanine for a couple of them, but wanting to head further toward Punta Allen. Any opinions on Xamach Dos, Sereidad Shardon or Cesiak?? Looking for either a day trip or maybe spending a night down there. We are looking for a beautiful secluded beach with decent accomodations. Any opinions would be great!

I haven't stayed south of Tulum, but wanted to say "Hello, and Welcome to the board". I'm sure you'll get a good response, there are many folks here that have some good experiences.

Wow that's a tough question..I would have to go with Xamach for seclusion and comfort, Cesiak for rustic beachfront and exploration, although those tents sure do look nice..But Shardon looks wonderful too..haven't seen it "in person" though. I would probably have to consider a few days at Sol Caribe too. I hear Mike has a fantastic restaurant there and the accomodations are very nice..only 4 rooms I think..but all very comfortable and nicely appointed.
I seriously would have to toss a coin between Xamach and Cesiak..or maybe split my time between the two..decisions decisions!

We will be leaving our room empty in Playa for the time spent south of Tulum, so looking for something fairly economical.:rolleyes:
Something about being on the "tip" sounds reawarding!(Shardon) However, Xamach Dos looks like a beautiful beach!

I've stayed with Shon and Niki at the Shadon. Didn't recognize the name at first as it has changed. It's right next to The Let It Be Inn. They are both very nice people and great hoasts. If you stay there, have Shon sing you the Ballad of the Punta Allen Road while you drink coffee. I'll see if I can find some photos.

Here is the beach house. There is a unit upstairs and one downstairs. The one upstairs has the washroom outside at ground level so if you have to go at night, be prepared to walk a little.
