Hey Gang,

From time to time, we've all seen the spambots post messages on this site. I imagine most of this site's posters and lukers are not primarily interested in pirated software, international brides, or low-cost medications. :p

I've also noticed a few new readers who are interested in removing these worthless messages from the board but are unsure how to accomplish this. The best way to clean up unwanted messages is to report them as bad posts. Here's how:

When you see a post with inappropriate content, offensive language, or unwanted ad messages, simply click on the Report Bad Post icon under the screen name of the offender. The symbol looks like a triangle with an exclaimation point inside.
When the new screen comes up, type the reason you consider this to be inappropriate...something as simply as SPAM will do the trick.
Click the SUBMIT button.
Usually, the post will be removed within a few days. If not, try again just to get the attention of James or Ginger.Hope this helps!

Great post Adguy.

Great steps to follow, peeps. I don't mind if you try again either, as sometimes my spam filter feeds these emails into my spam box and I don't notice them right away, so if you notice they are still there after a few days it's a good idea to notify me again.

And then your spam magically disappears...

Unfortunately for me, though, I still have to look at it, albeit in italics with the word "deleted" following it...;) Such is the moderator's view of the board. :D
