These days of Carnaval are really hard on a person. It's the getting to bed late at night that's hard on me. We were up and heading out around 10:00 am. The Explorer was still parked where I thought it was and still running great.

Drove to the Fontan to get my friends up and out. That took awhile. Didn't get them out till around 2:00 pm. It was still a beautiful day on Cozumel.

They wanted to do a little shopping around the plaza so Uncle John and I brought our cooler of beer to the square and sat around having a few and talking to people while they took off to do their shopping. Everyone was setting up for the parade tonight. You could feel the energy in the air.

Eventually they found us and we ended up at Woody's until time for the parade. The streets were clear and blocked off up and down Melgar.

More vendors were coming out and getting ready.

The sun began to set and the parade was getting ready to start. We were already in our spot right in the middle of the street on the median.

The crowd was starting to get anxious. People were everywhere.

Ran into our good friend Freddy and his wife Rosalba.

Following are a few photos of the costumes. Sorry, I can't go on about the rest of the night because I don't remember where we ended up

Getting a photo of Steve O is probably going to be as hard as getting one of Beachreader! I think it is either because they are both really famous or they are on some sort of witness protection program. I can't figure out which one!

i will choose the witness protection program.....but from WHAT witness program..? USA gov, Mexican gov? Tulum a holics? etc ;)
 what is cooler than that? To be able to just be out there, and living the life of tulum/mexico and having us all live vicariously through them?:)

You just gotta study the reflections in the pots and pans on his recipe threads! as far as Beachreader goes...there are several shots of her in the archives...she looks a lot like Lara Croft....

Thanks Steve ~ I haven't really ever spent too much time at the North end ~ Usually down at Dzul Ha and the other side. I will have to drive up there the next time I am there.
