Where is the best place to park in the Pueblo? We will have a car, but from the maps I have seen, I can't really see where to park. Or is it a major deal? Just go to where ever, park it and go eat/whatever? Also, my wife wants to maybe buy a couple of bikinis down there...is there a place in the Pueblo to do that or will that be more likely in PDC?

The best place to park is anywhere a spot opens up....seriously. Just cruise the local lanes on 307 and you'll find parking.
There is a cute shop next to Turtle Bay in Akumal, that might have a bikinis. In Tulum, there are some small shops that sell clothing.....just walk around and you'll find them....just don't expect much of a selection. Playa would have the most available in swimwear. I wouldn't waste precious vacation time trying to find a bikini, though...buy before you leave. :)

I agree with Lynnette. You'll have much better selection and better prices up here before you go. I haven't seen any kind of "interesting, local" bathing suits, but if she really wants one from there for whatever reason, I'd say PDC or Akumal rather than Tulum. There are two racks of clothing at San Francisco in Tulum, mostly t-shirts, a few bathing suits, just not much.
There are a few shops that sell clothing in Tulum here and there on the main drag; I'm sure you could find one if you look.
And parking is pretty clear, there are spots all along the road in the "local" lanes (you'll see when you're there). I've occasionally had a hard time finding a spot, but something always opened up.

I'm an expert on bikinis! ;) . . . (at least one who appreciates a lovely body in a minuscule amount of material) . . . seriously, mi amor has a suitcase full . . . enough to open a bikini boutique! Buy your bikinis online or in a shop in the states. Even in Playa del Carmen, you'll pay too much!

We sometimes have to park on a side street just off 307 - all is fine; never a problem.
Bikini-wise....take the advice given. There is NOTHING!
We had a terrible time finding my son a pair of slides when I forgot to pack his one year. We had to settle on a pair of counterfeit Nikes.
I can't imagine looking for something as personal and specific as a bikini in the area.
JCrew has some suits on sale right now. Athleta has some cute styles. Just depends on what your style is....

parking wise there was always something within a block on a side street...

That's what I was thinking when it came to the shopping for bikini's...get 'em here. But I was told to ask...
