How close is the supermarket to Azulik?

We have a trip planned to Azulik in March. I am wanting to know how far the supermarket is to Azulik? For those of you who have been to Azulik, I know the management does not allow food in the cabanas, is it ok to have drinks on the deck? Thanks for any info...

Walk out of Azulik to the road (2 mins). Turn Left. Walk 3 minutes- you are in a little collection of stores/money exchange/restaurants/etc. Cold beer is available as are all the food snacks you might want. For a bigger supermarket you might have to go into the pueblo.Enjoy!

As you are driving south on 307 when you approach the intersection before you turn left toward the beach look to your right there is a San Francisco market right there, they have everything you need there.
Come out of the market cross 307 at the light, and you are on your way toward Azulik About 3 miles. Enjoy your trip.

Both of the above posts are good info. Just keep in mind the little store on the beach road is just that.....little.....with only a minimun selection of snacks, drinks. The only store with a selection of groceries is the San Francisco in Tulum Pueblo. If you will have a car this will be no problem.

P.S. bottle openers cannot be found in or near Tulum:eek: . We found this out the hard way.

We always head into town when the sun goes down for dinner and wandering around and then head to the Super San Francisco for a few six packs and a snack or two to bring back to the cabana. You just don't want food laying around because they'll attract cockroaches and they're pretty nasty little buggers down there.

They have cold beer in the morning when they get in a shipment of ice. Some will keep a barrel or trough with ice, water and beer in it through the day but as the day goes on it's not so cold. In town at the San. Fran. market you can get cold beer, ice etc.

Pssst........ they have been known to sell beer on Sunday if you geek like we did and ran out:o . If you lay low and be cool beer can be bought in a black bag.:D

There also is an ice truck that delivers up and down boca pila road, you can buy ice from them if you have a cooler in your room to hold beer, San Fransisco market sells the inexpensive foam coolers.
