Hello to everyone on Tulum.info
Some of you I know personally, but for everyone else my name is Josh and I have taken over as site manager down here at Xamach Dos. I'm new to the area (as well as the board) and will likely have just as many questions as answers, but I look forward to meeting more of you and sharing information about this beautiful piece of Mexico I have the good fortune to call home.
Salude!
-Josh

I'll do my best to keep the fires and calamities to a bare minimum, then. Just till February though. After that, all bets are off.

I was a manager at The Keg Steakhouse in Bellingham, WA for four years and change, and through a serious of fortuitous coincidences managed to meet Dan and end up living in a cabana on the beach. The sand in my bed is just driving me crazy. ;) Not mention all this sun and stress free environment. I've found myself wondering, "Why can't it just be grey, cold and rainy all day? For just a few months. Is that so much to ask?" :)

Minnie!
Trip was wonderful, and even more remote than Xamach, if you can believe it. We ended up having to hike into town because of a fluke rainstorm the day we were supposed to taxi in to catch a flight back to the mainland. But the roads were totally shot, washed out by the rivers. Two cars got washed away! I ended up on the back of a dirt bike with some suicidal Costa Rican gent tearing along the road, through rivers and such once we got close to town, just to get a taxi to go back down the road and pick up my Dad and brother. It was quite the adventure.

Welcome to the board, Josh. I'm sure you'll find Tulum and XD pretty much identical to your restaurant at Bellingham. Same cold...same dreary sky...great coffee...plenty of beef. :D Enjoy your new job in paradise!

Hey,
What's wrong with this picture? I AM here in the grey, cold and rainy all day Northwest. You don't have to rub it in.

Dan,
Lo Siento Hermano, Josh is da bomb.
But just for consolation it is COLD, I was wearing a long sleeved shirt and jacket today! Norte is blowing in frigid weather. We had to buy blankets at the market in the ejido today....brrrr.
How's the snow? Jejejejeje.
Minnie, so glad you enjoyed your trip next time it is our tour to meet you.
Ron & Cami

ps; Dan, I got fired today, by e-mail.
