:wave:New guy here. I have found this forum very informative,usefull and yes, at times humorous. I am looking for a bit of information and am sure I am at the right place. A group of four ,ie 2 couples of which I am included are < coming down the road> to the Punta Allen area after a few days in Puerto Morelos. Being adventurous and in need of some serious downtime,,we are looking to stay in the Biosphere area,and will need a few things,namely...beachfront,,cold drinks,,good food,,and not much emphasis on large hotel or crowds..just clean rooms. If anyone has any suggestions ,that would be great,,,we will be in the area Nov21 until 30th,and look forward to putting faces to some of the names I have read about..Thanks in advance..Jimmie:palmtree::palmtree:

Sounds like a customer for Xamach Dos, no? Check out their website (it's their name dot com) and/or send Margo a PM here on the board. Her username is Margoinmexico.

I also did a whole thread on Xamach last December, so if you do an advanced search, look for threads started by me with Xamach Dos in the subject line. I think that's what I called it, anyway.

Staying at Xamach is like staying at a friend's beach house, but with several cabanas. They might well be booked that week since it sounds like a lot of folks from here are going down soon, but give it a shot!

If Xamach is booked up, check out Sol Caribe, just down the road. Their bookings are handled by LocoGringo, so you might go to that site and look at the pictures and descriptions and stuff.

I agree with the choices Beachreader gave you! Might be hard to find someplace at this late date, as most are for some reason booking up quickly this fall and winter. Hooray for them!! But then I read that they are only 20% occupancy ~ so??

Anyways, get your emails off quickly to see if either is booked cause we will have to look elsewhere if they are!!

Thanks for the help Beachreader & Minniemex,,,I will give those two places a try..Am I safe to assume there aren't too many other places in that area except for right at Punta Allen and up near the Mezzanine. It sounds like just showin' up and getting a room somewhere might be a bit of a chore!!:crossfingers::crossfingers::crossfingers:o

I don't know if I am misunderstanding you, but there are a whole load of places between Mezzanine and Punta Allen:)

BR just gave you the places which are in the biosphere which is marked on the map as "Entrance to Sian Ka'an". Those places are south of the the arch. There are loads of places north of the biosphere.
