I'm planning a trip to Tulum with my friends in the beginning of May 2007. It is probably going to be 6-8 of us. I'm looking for a beach villa or house to rent for all of us. I have found few on the internet but with no reviews.
Does anyone know a house we can rent there? Thank you.:) :) :)

Not much as far as houses go. Have you looked at the site hotelstulum.com? This may help for accomodations. Tulum is a laid back, slow paced, clothing optional(many places) , cheap cabanas, with a few high end retreat spa type of area. Not really a good place for those in a party mode.

Hey!
Thanx for an advice.
As I have found out there are not many villas and houses to rent in Tulum. However I have found a place called Cassita Tortugita. It looks lovely and the prices are very reasonable. Do you know that place??
Also, we will rent a car- so we can drive up to Playa if we want to party all night.
Last time I have been to Mexico, we've stayed in Al Cielo hotel on Xpu Ha beach. It was amazing but too isolated - we were the only people in he hotel. We also stayed in Cancun but didn't like it that much - too commercial. We only spent about 2 days in Tulum and loved it! That is why we want to come again with friends and stay there for at least 2 weeks.
Also, how is it there in May?? Is it busy??
Thanx.

Never heard of Casita Tortugita.. sorry... We were there in May of this year and it was very slow, but very warm and muggy. A definate for ocean front rooms or one of the few places with AC. We will be back in Nov. to check out more places.

We stayed here with a large group and rented 3 of the 4 casitas. You guys can do that too! They have a comunal area for outdoor grilling as well as a kitchen in each casita.
Casa del Corazon is just an hour and a half south of Cancun, but a world away in tropical tranquility. These beach bungalows are perfect if you want to put some magic in your Caribbean vacation. Step out your door and dig your toes in the sand. You are surrounded by tropical greenery at Casa del Corazon, that is until you venture a couple steps out to the beach. Then it's the wide blue spaces of Soliman Bay and the Caribbean. And there aren't many people around to spoil it either. This location is private and peaceful, perfect for those who want to kick back in a gorgeous spot without the crowds. You can lounge around the swimming pool or go kayaking and snorkeling right from your beach side front door.
