Just bought our plane tickets for our November trip and our son's wedding. Looks like we'll be in Tulum 4 days, Xpu Ha for the wedding 3 days, and Playa del Carmen for 3 days. Lots of family and friends coming for the celebration! :sun: :palmtree:

Great! Sounds like there will be a lot of people in Tulum in November, hope you guys can hook up somewhere along the line. If you're not too wrapped up in wedding plans, that is. Where did you decide to stay in Xpu Ha?

We'll be there in November -- 8th til the 15th. Staying at La Zebra. First trip in 25+ years -- I'm sure it will be nothing like it was then. Just a day trip at the time. Looking forward to it!!

Cheryl and Pete - buen viaje!! - you'll be on the right beach! Have a wonderful time. The Tulum sun, sand and surf will bring back the "old magic".
Beachreader - the plan is Tita Tulum, Royal Catalonia Resort for the wedding, then probably Blue Pearl Suites in PDC. Our family is very excited about this trip. While on Xpu Ha, we'll all have a special dinner at Al Cielo. It'll be a thrill to have our adult children and granddaughters there enjoying the Riviera Maya with us!

That sounds like a great trip, and I'd love to share the RM with my family, but I can't seem to ever get them down there!
The restaurant at Al Cielo is lovely, you'll have a great meal.

Congratulations to your son on his wedding, Tomas, and picking the Riv to celebrate it! So was there a crazy price difference for tickets than from your recent trip in May? Are ther no longer deals to be had? With all the nickle and diming the airlines are doing, the days of fun air travel seem over.

Hola Steve. Man, the ticket prices were all over the place with Frontier!
They varied from around $480.00 to $1600.00 from Denver (these were rates departing on Tues. - Fri. in early Nov.) I paniced when I saw the $1600.00 price! One Sunday afternoon, I saw tickets for $504.00 leaving on a Tues., so, I grabbed them! We paid $363.00 back in May!!!
Of course, a few days later, I saw our tickets for $480.00. At this point though, all the flights (only one per day) during our departure week are just about full. So Coloradans needing a Mexico fix are paying the price.
We'll be there 3 days before family arrives and the wedding, but that's cool with us. It'll just be the 2 of us on the Tulum beaches, doing what we love to do.
So, in answer to your question, there doesn't seem to any great deals with the airline fuel increases, revenue losses and bankruptcies. I read today in the Denver Post, that Fall airfares may be dropping, so keep your eyes open!!
Give my best to Alice. Hope you guys are having a good summer, and find an airfare deal back to the beach!
