We will be carless while in tulum so I was thinking it would be helpful and fun to get around on a scooter or bike. I've read that someone rents bikes but not sure about the scooters

Thanks
Jim

Where are you staying? I know that a lot of the cabana places and hotels rent bicycles to their customers or sometimes for free. I also recall seeing a listing for scooter rentals on the Mapchick Riviera Maya map. I will take a look when I get home. If you do not already have the map, I would highly recommend getting one. It is pricelsss.

We're staying at one of the cabanas on the beach. We're not making any reservations so we're not sure where we are staying.

Which cabanas have bikes? Do they rent to the public or just let their guests use them?

Thanks
Jim

yes there is a place. its on the corner of 307 and satelite ave. Its tiny ,right beside a little convenience store...thats where you ask for the lady that does the rentals...she is usually not present ,but they call her. You will see the few sccots parked there. as you come into tulum its really the first intersection and its on the right...see this map.

That sounds great! How much were the scooters?

Do you know if they rent bikes also?

Thanks
