My wife and I are planning to bring our 24-month old child with us to Tulum in February. As of now, our #1 choice is Suenos. Our concern is that Suenos only accepts children in the Beach suites, which appear to have dunes blocking the ocean view (and cooling breezes).

Has anyone stayed in the Beach suites and if so, how was the temperature in the room at night?

The beach suites are a bit below the dune level. We checked one out when we stayed at Suenos...there wasn't much breeze at that level. The upper two floors are the best for cooling breezes and views. Suenos doesn't allow small kids in the upper floors for safety reasons.

They do, however, have ceiling fans, and in February, it's not that hot at night. So I'd still consider Suenos for your trip, unless the ocean view is a deal-breaker (as it could be for me).

Okay...I totally read that post title wrong...I thought Suenos was now offering suites that included children! I wonder if they'd be trained to bring me a beer? :D

:D:D:D That reminds me of a great cocktail napkin I've seen. A retro 50s woman saying "that's nice dear, now go fix mommy a martini".

And definitely my family's idea of child training!

Having two of my own, I am not sure if that would be a deal closer for many people.

In Feb, I would seriously consider this room. In the summer months, I wouldn't.

I once taught a dog to do it...it took him a couple of days of training to master it. I imagine a kid could learn it in a week. :p
