I thought that I had our bases covered by not flying in or out of Cancun on a weekend but then double checked and we are planning to return on the Monday after Easter. Is that going to be a terrible day to travel?

Sorry, if this is a duplicate. I posted the same question on Fodors but with the typos.

The week before and the week after Easter are always very busy. If you got a good deal on your airfare, a little extra time waiting in lines is nada! :)

I am still laying it all out and did not want to travel on Easter and so it worked out that we would fly out the next day. Then I started thinking that it might be especially busy that day. We might be able to add another day and fly out on Tuesaday if it was going to be a crazy day to travel on Monday.

You won't know how busy it will be until you get there!! I do know that the busiest day is Saturday, then Sunday ~ I do think you will be ok with the Monday. But adding a day to a trip to Tulum is also an excellent idea:p

It is always an excellent idea!

Do most people have Monday off, too, and head for home that day instead of on Sunday? Maybe just some people do and then it wouldn't be so bad... Just wondered if there was a hard and fast rule.

I am going to post my itinerary to see if it needs any fine tuning. I would love to hear what you both think!
