Does anyone know about the construction at Tulum? When it will be finished? When we were there earlier this month, the ruins were all roped off and you couldn't view any of them up close. Parts of the beach were not easily accessible either. We saw a new stairwell being built going down to the beach that has a deck area and it looks great. It was a little disappointing after having visited Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, but I'm sure it's going to be very nice when they are finished and by the time I go again. The views at Tulum are awesome!
And speaking of views from ruins, if anyone has been to Ek Balam or if you are planning on going, when you get to the top of the main temple you can look out towards the right (east) and you can spot the ruins at Coba, which is 30 miles as a bird flies. Very cool!
