Will I need an electricity adapter in Tulum? I haven't been able to find any information using the search function.

No converters needed BUT you may want to check with your hotel to see if outlets are available. I know this sounds crazy but, for example, Tita Tulum does not have outlets in the room. To charge batteries or run low-power appliances (no coffee makers or hair dryers) you'll need a plug adapter that screws into a light socket. You can pick them up at Home Depot for a couple bucks.

Yup - and I forgot that light adapter for our trip, so when my camera battery ran down . . . I just plugged my charger in over at Tita's restaurant. They have outlets there, just not in the rooms. In just about two hours I had a full charge and it lasted the rest of the trip.
