We had an AMAZING 2 weeks in Tulum. We spent our first week at Suenos de Tulum. I cannot reccomend this place more-- it was utterly beautiful & peaceful, the beach was amazing, the rooms clean and filled with lovely touches. Loved the owners, loved Alan, the manager. THEN-- we went to spend week number 2 at Dreams Tulum. We were meeting some friends there. This is my first post and I know alot of people absolutely love Dreams. It wasn't our kind of place:too big, our room had terrible plumbing problems and our ocean view was actually a back of the ugly spa view... was harrassed to join in activities way too much.... didn't like the food, or the trough-like buffets. We had our kids with us and the Explorer's Club was depressing and run by people who looked like they'd rather be ANYWHERE else. And after Suenos the beach just paled by comparison. SO Dreams very nicely let us out of our reservation and we went back to Tulum! We stayed at Maya Tulum for a few days until Suenos had room for us again. We LOVED: Dinner at zamas, dinner at La Nave (in town), lunch at Las Ranitas, dinner at Nachos. Can't wait to go back.

Hi Freedy we just returned from Tulum also, almost the same time there as you, 4/18 to 4/26. We stayed at Tita Tulum and feel it is the best place we have stayed since visiting Tulum for the past five years. We also ate at La Nave as always and it was excellent, we also had dinner at Mezzanine on the friday night when they have a dance party, Posada Margherita, Tita Tulum and La Vita E Bella all were excellent. We have booked our return for August already.

I'm glad you liked Suenos so much since that is where I will be spending the first week of my honeymoon! It is always reassuring to hear good reviews of a place you'll be staying at. Which rooms did you stay in?

Good to hear we'll be at Tita Tulum in late June - how far a walk are the restaurants you recommeneded from Tita Tulum? thanks

Posada Margherita is about a 15/20 minute walk on the beach (walking at night bring a flashlight) Mezzanine and La Vita E bella are about 45minute walk along Boca Pila road. La Nave is in town and at least 45minute to a week. La Banana at Nueva Vida is 5/10 minutes away. We had a rental car for our 11 day stay.
