Checking in to say “HI”. My wife & I going to the Roo for the first time, in early June, for 12 nights.
We decided to split our stay between Don Diego de la Selva, Villa Dolce Vita, Cabanas Copal & Tierras del Sol.
I think renting a car is probably a must(do you agree?), trying to decide between Easyway, Busters & Caribetur, has anyone used Caribetur?
I understand the road from Soliman to Tankah Bay is blocked for vehicular traffic, has anyone walked it, and was it worth the effort?
Also has anyone booked the Sian Ka'an tour online, through CESiak (http://www.siankaan.org/ (http://www.siankaan.org/)), and how did it work out?
Any comments, tips and observations welcome, thanks.

Hi and welcome. My wife and I will also be in Playa and Tulum in June 2-17. :D we have split our stay between Playa Maya, Cabanas Copal and La Tortuga. Sorry cannot answer all your questions. But we did rent a car our last visit from easyway and had no trouble. For your trip to Tulum it is not nessasary but, if you want to see anything other than the beach or the ruins or the town of Tulum it is not a bad idea. There are taxis up and down the beach road that will pick you up, but a car in this area is really a good idea. We will rent again for the 4 days we will be in the Tulum area.

Since you are staying for part of your visit at Tierras Del Sol, I would definitely rent a car. TDS is quite a ways down the beachroad. I have used both Busters and Easyway with no problems.

Saw a report from one of the residents on Tankah Bay that the road is now graded and in very good condition, the best it has ever been since she has lived there.

Most definitely rent a car. It's so nice for getting around especially if you'd like to go to Tulum Pueblo (the real town). Tulm Pueblo is approximately 3 or so miles from where you are staying. It's also nice to have a car to go exploring Centotes in the Tulum area. The road to Tulum is easy (and I'm a nervous driver saying this!).

Enjoy!
