Entrance Fee?

Is there an entrance fee to get into tulum? Also, once you are in... about how much would it cost to hire a guide?

There is a fee for entrance to the Ruins, about $3.50US, but it must be paid in pesos, they don't accept US dollars.

Guides are available at the entrance. I didn't use a guide, not sure about the cost, I think this varies depending on what the particular guide charges.

Here's a hint: Unless you go early (preferred due to the heat and the tour bus crowds) you will see groups with guides all over the place. I listened to these guides for free..shame on me..just followed a group and listened to their guide.
