Hi all!
I got to spend some time in Tulum and on The Yucatan peninsula in 2005 and have been looking forward to going back ever since. I think I might make it in a few months when my current contract job finishes up. Although I'd much rather go during the 'winter' months, I've decided to take the opportunity whenever I can get it. Can't wait!
I'm a last minute traveler, usually don't plan more than two weeks in advance, so that's about all I know for this next trip.
My interests are archaeology, photography, and independent travel.

Hey kimba! I've read a lot of your posts over on LG (before I made this board my home!). Glad to have you over here -- you've got lots of great experience to share. And great pix too!
When's your next trip?

Thanks Phyllis!
I think my contract is up at the end of April. So I'm looking at May. I've been wanting to do at least a month down there so that I'll have time to get to Tikal and Palenque as well as some of the smaller Maya sites that I didn't get a chance to photograph last trip.

Thanks MinnieMex!
I have a newer bigger better camera for the next trip. I may go around and do a lot of re-shooting too, although photos are never the same the second time around. :)

You know, I think we had someone post a trip report of Palenque here on the board. You might do a quick search. They took some great photos too - made us all want to visit there, too, if we can tear ourselves away from the beach!

Don't be jealous! Just plan to go! Or just go, don't plan!
