NEVER did we ever think we'd go back to vacation in the same place in our life, but this will be our third visit to Tulum, and our third stay at Azulik as well. After reading all the reviews over the past year, we just decided that the deck, the soaking tub, the deck bed and the breeze...all with a view of the Caribbean 12 feet in front of you, just can't be beat. It feels like we are going home!! The beach service at Copal was something we really appreciated last year as well, ordering buckets of Montejo, or Superior, and a side of ceviche......oh man.....come on, Spring!

Awesome...can I hijack to ask if there are other places that offer beach service? I admit that I enjoy some service...or at least being able to walk in the sand still in bathing suit order food, drink and then plop back down is ok too...around Nueva Vida area?

Trish, My and I had "beach" service at Los Lirious last year. I had to go to the restaraunt to order our first round and food, then they just kept checking on us....just have to ask.

You Cubbies don't get my sympathy one bit. At least you have a champsionship, regardless of how long ago it was. The Rangers have nada.

Aw, Doug, I think you guys have a looong time to go before you can start complaining too much. I mean, at least the Cubs have been around for longer than 100 years!

As for beach service, I think Trish is cool with fetching it herself without getting dressed, yes? I.e., not really needing a cabana boy (however nice they may be).

Om has a "beach bar" now, and for all I know they have chair service. It wouldn't take much given they have such a small beachfront.

Playa Kin-Ha was always close enough to just grab something and sit back down.

In fact, anyplace with a beach and a bar on the beach is enough for not getting dressed in my book. OK, Nueva Vida loses out becuase their restaurant is across the street, but most other places have their stuff closer to the beach.

Retiro Maya has a beachfront bar now, there's the new beach club Ak'iin next to Esmeralda K, La Zebra's close to the beach.

Great news, Windy! have a GREAT time. I'm just excited your'e going so I can enjoy what I know will be a great report when you get back, with awesome new pictures!!!!!!!!!

One of these days we WILL get together down in Cicero. Promise. Football season's over now... might be easier to get Fitz to join us now, maybe???? :)
