My wife and myself are looking for a house on the beach in Tulum that is away from all. We are planning on going in June for a couple of weeks. It needs to have a/c in the bedroms. I am open to all options............

We're going in May for the first time, and while we were not looking for a house, I started out with a few well chosen searches on Google.com.

You probably would want to try this:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=rental+houses+in+Tulum

You may also "search" this board's parent www.playa.info (http://www.playa.info) for recommendations from other members. You don't need to login to lurk there, and you'll find a lot of good info.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Not a house, but a lone cabana. If you want solitude this looks like the place.

There is only one place in or around Tulum that has AC and that's http://www.loslirioshotel.com/
From everything I've heard it's kinda like a low budget American hotel and the AC can be hit or miss.
It's been said that you don't need AC if you are on the beach and since almost everything in Tulum is on the beach, you won't need AC :)
You might look for something that has 24 hour electric (usually through generators or solar), that usually means 24 hour fans.

AC is a difficult order to fill on the beachroad in Tulum. Los Lirios is the only place I know of that has AC, but, it isn't a house.

A couple of places to check out would be
Rancho San Eric..several houses of all different sizes

And Zamna Guest House, I believe you can rent the entire property or just part. Check it out at Locogringo.

Further down the road, closer to Punta Allen, you might be interested in Serinidad Shardon

Hello Gunan 1. We have stayed at Los Lirios 3 times, miles of open beach, large clean rooms, good food there or just a short beach walk to Ana j Joses for great food and A/C. Perfect place to let you hair down, be lazy and wear our thong swimwear and got topples without a care. You'll love this place.
