Holy cow, what kind of party is this??!! Anyone been there during that time? Most festivals have hotels booked solid, but "bedlam" causing a place to shut down? I have a hard time imagining the Mayans being that rowdy.

Methinks maybe it's the hotel owners who are planning on a little bedlam of their own and don't want guests mucking up their fun. :D:rolleyes:

I had heard of this. And Holly from Copal was saying it's hardly anything to worry about - she couldn't imagine why they were closing. And nobody along the beach would be affected.
