Above link is as of 6:16 pm Monday, Eastern time, scroll down a few paragraphs for a mention of our beloved Tulum. Mostly it is the same news that has been circulating, but does mention Tulum damage. I hope for the best.

This from Eco Tulum:
"I have reported damage to our hotels on our website: http://www.ecotulum.com/faq/emily.html. I will add additional information once I have it."
I'm hoping the best for the others as well.

These are generally of Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
Tulum, south:
Received reply yesterday afternoon to my text message from Suenos Tulum mgr who said that they and resort were OK! Didn't go into further detail as they surely have so much to attend to. The resort is on the south end, one north of Las Ranitas.

The first week of November my "wife", thats a new word for me on Nov. 5th, will be staying at the El Dorado Royale for a week and Xpu Ha for another. I did hear that El Dorado wasnt that badly damaged but I did hear Xpu Ha got a direct hit. Would anyone be able to confirm that and also, did they evacuate the animals at the resort.
Thanks everyone on Tulum and Playa Info Forums for all the info and reports on this trying time for all that love Mexico.

Maybe this will help:
These are the conditions at some of the all inclusive resorts in the Mayan Riviera. I will update this thread as I get more information. Some of what I post comes directly from the hotel and some comes from travelers observations. I can't guarantee all of this info...but this is what I have been told. At this point, information is somewhat hard to come by. I should have better and more reliable info later this week (I hope!). If the resort you're concerned about isn't listed, then I don't have any info at this time. If anyone has any confirmed info to add, feel free to post it.
As of 7/18/05

That does ease my mind alittle but Xpu Ha is somewhat of a concern to me since it will reopen a month before I arrive. I have stayed at the Moon Palace a few years ago and did have a great time but, Xpu Ha and Adventura are the only two Palace Resorts that I would like to stay at and both were hit pretty hard. I guess it cant be any worst than my adventure at Secrets Capri when they first opened.
Again, thanks for th info.
