Just booked the hotel - Tierras del Sol!

Well, we ended up booking at Tierras del Sol. We decided we'd like to stay down the south end where it's really quiet, but the cabana we wanted at Hamaca Loca was booked up for part of our stay and I didn't want to move during our vacation. I am happy with my choice - it looks like TDS gets great reviews on Trip Advisor and looks like our kind of place. We're staying in one of the beachfront units (cabana La Terraza).

Anyone stayed at TDS? I'd love to hear your comments!

Yes we stayed there in June last year and found it to be very nice. Carlos the owner and wife were very accommodating. He will run a small Generator for elec. if you need it for charging Batt. etc. or to run a fan. There restaurant is small but if you give them notice they will make you whatever you would like. The property is gorgeous, with plant, ferns etc. They were doing some work on the kitchen area, so not sure if they expanded or what. One other young couple was staying there at the same time so we had the whole place to ourselves. They are at the southeren end of beach road so I would suggest renting a car to get around. We will be staying here again asap.

I have not stayed at TDS, but it is on my list, so I can't help you there. It looks like dcap did a great job there!

Your welcome Sassy Girl. And it is very nice. The 2nd photo in the previous post was a photo from inside the room. King bed. fan, walk-in shower with hot water, concrete floor, the last photo shows our room it did not have a name as most of the others did. As I mentioned on the pic. I understand the up-stairs is complete now. Check out their website if you havent already, it shows all the rooms.

We'll be staying in the same cabana the first week of December so I'll be able to give you a report before you go (I think you're going in January?). The deck and view from La Terraza look amazing!
